A sensitive portrayal of two teenagers growing up in a Himalayan village in Bhutan depicts the generation gap between the traditional values promoted by their father and the adolescents’ own desires.
As far as personal interests are concerned, siblings Gyembo and Tashi are no different from most of their peers around the world. They constantly look at their mobiles and love football. Their father watches them with slight concern because he is the guardian of a Buddhist monastery and hopes that, one day, Gyembo will take over his duties and become a monk. Gyembo, however, is not interested in religious studies, yet he tolerantly listens as his father persistently tries to convince him about the benefits of this way of life. Tashi dreams of a professional footballer career. Despite their youthful energy, both siblings know that promoting their objectives will require the patience of saints.
